Atom™

AtomTM is one of the most prolific and shape-shifting electronic musicians of our era, with over 200 releases and 2,000 tracks produced and recorded under a dizzying array of aliases. Since his first releases in 1990, he has been credited with pioneering radical fusions of musical styles, triggering entire sub-genres of electronic music such as glitch-pop (Pop Artificielle, 1999) and, more recently, the trans-contemporary concept of metamusic (2020). Perhaps his most well-known and celebrated project is Señor Coconut, famous for its cha-cha-cha Kraftwerk covers, which sparked the Electrolatino movement in 2001. His work is often described as proto-prompt music, foreshadowing the emergence of AI in conceptual music creation.

As a producer, remixer, and collaborator, he has worked with and for artists such as Ryuichi Sakamoto, Towa Tei, Yellow Magic Orchestra, Depeche Mode, Tom Tom Club, Bill Laswell, and OMD, among many others. In recent years, he has dedicated significant time to remastering and archiving nearly his entire catalog for the AtomTM Audio Archive, which has been fully available online since 2020.

Pushing the boundaries of sound and concept for over three decades, he continues to produce, release, and perform post-electronic music, most recently with his <3 album in 2020 and Neuer Mensch in 2022. Largely focused on production work in recent years, his ever-evolving catalog remains in continuous expansion.
