LAUREN RITTER
Lauren Ritter has been sharing her liminal style of music with every corner of the world for over a decade. She has toured the Americas, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, and won’t stop until she’s played her first Space X party on Mars. Ritter’s groove-driven, emotive, minimal house has made her a powerful favorite of the dance music elite and a 7-year resident of ReSolute NYC. Her introspective, stripped-down compositions have been a stargate to underground dance music for veterans and newcomers alike. An archivist and researcher at heart, Ritter’s versatility stems from a record collection that spans decades and embraces the strange and arcane.
Her 2015 and 2016 All Day I Dream releases quickly became a favorite among fans and critics, being described as “hypnotic,” “mesmerizing,” and “a bittersweet headrush.” Swoon and the title track Lark have since been featured on several BBC Radio 1 Essential Mixes, expanding her reach well beyond the underground. However, it’s her live sets that treat fans to the esoteric spirit of dance music.
There are concrete plans for a 2019 release. However, the label and specifics are under lock and key.
